Railsplitting Festival kicks off with a
Chamber of Commerce ribbon cut

On Saturday morning, the 46th Annual Abraham Lincoln National Railsplitting
Festival kicked off at the Postville Courthouse in Lincoln with a ribbon cut hosted
by the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce.
On hand for the cut were Chamber Director Cathy Wilhite with Chamber staff Kari
Adams and Tina Simpson, several Chamber Ambassadors, and representatives
from the city of Lincoln, including Mayor Marty Neitzel and Aldermen Rick Hoefle
and Jonie Tibbs. Rounding out the group were organizers of the festival including
Bob Rankin, Darlene Begolka, and Darius Knauer, several festival volunteers
and participants dressed in their civil war era attire, Geoff Ladd with the Route
66 Heritage Foundation and the Mill on Route 66, and Michelle Ramlow of the
Cronin Brothers VFW.
