2014 Logan County Fair:
It doesn’t get much better than this!
To borrow some of Oscar Hammerstein’s lyrics, “Our county fair is a great county fair, don’t miss
it, don’t even be late!”
The weather is nearly perfect this year, the assortment of events, rides and attractions top rate, and
the crowd of friends and neighbors you’ll bump into is amazing.
To most people, this year’s Logan County Fair seemed to come up really fast. That is because it
did. A few days were added on the front to provide a better schedule for downstate harness race
competition. Also, Illinois counties set and stagger their schedules in reference to when the state
fair begins. Logan County is one of the last and the Illinios State Fair begins earlier, Thursday,
Aug. 7, 2014.
The fair is many things to many people, but at its foundation it is the best of Logan County’s
agriculture. It offers professional development through competition, shared information and
networking opportunities for present and future farmers and reminds the community of what
Logan County does best, agriculture.

FAIR.
