Page 240 Lincoln Daily News 2026 Logan County Fair August 2026 Bingo, music and exercise make for a full morning for seniors at the Logan County Fair Friday was Senior Day at the Logan County Fairgrounds. Admission and parking were free for attendees aged 65 and older. In the Lincoln Stage Barn that had the day prior been set aside for our younger generations, the seniors filled the area throughout the morning. It was generally observed that the crowd for this year was larger than previous years. The day was sponsored by: The Oasis Senior Center, Copper Creek, Molina, Hopedale Commons, Springfield Clinic, Home Health, I CASH, Abcor Home Health, Calvert, Fricke, Schrader, Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Hands of God Hospice, Hometown Senior Care Advisors, Senior Services of Central Illinois, Villas at Lincoln (Arcadia), and Springfield Supportive. Sponsors were set up with tons of freebies to hand out, and seniors were more than happy to browse and partake. The day began with Silver Fox Fitness with Georgia Allison. There were a good number of participants—probably one of the largest turnouts for recent Senior Days. Georgia had the group “movin' and groovn” with all kinds of chair exercises, band stretches and low impact range of motion movements. By the time they had worked out for 30-40 minutes everyone seemed ready for a break.
