Another child decided to build a white pool with blue water next to their house. Yet another decided to tell a story with the house they built. Once the thirty minutes was up, judges went around to look at each house and talk to the child that created it. The first, second, and third place winners from each age group were invited to another Lego building competition at the Illinois State Fair. The winners will go up against kids from Sangamon, Morgan, and Menard counties, as SAHBA hosted Lego building contests at these counties’ fairs as well. Burgener shared that there will also be another Lego building contest for anyone to sign up for there in ddition to the champion contest. In the youngest age group of 5-8, the third place winner was Tyler Davis, the second place winner was Paxston Ogden, and the first place winner was Doc Whitley. In the 9-12 age group, the third place winner was Elliott Bacus, the second place winner was Jayce Naugle, and the first place winner was Daniel Davis. In the last age group of 13-17, the third place winner was Rachel Knight, the second place winner was Kaleb Knight, and the first place winner was Ericka McClellan.
