On Saturday evening, the Lincoln Community High School
pre-prom Red Carpet event was driven indoors as rain fell on the
Logan County Courthouse in Lincoln.
The event, co-hosted by WLCN Radio in Atlanta and Mary Todd
Hallmark in Lincoln, was held in the back gymnasium at LCHS.
The evening was video taped by WLCN and will be available
for viewing on the radio station website as well as on the Lincoln
College Cable Channel 5.
Joe Ryan of the “Cheap Seats” program and “Lisa the prize girl”
from WLCN, emceed the evening that included interviews with
prom goers featuring the typical red carpet questions.
With a theme of Mardi Gras, this year the evening gowns were
elaborate, with the vast majority of them including flowing
layers, bright colors, and elaborate bodices adorned with
glittering sequins.
The pathway to the interview space was heavy decorated with
lush plants and trees provided by Ace Hardware in Lincoln.
