According to one of the organizers, Jeanie

Beccue, post-prom featured three inflatables

this year: a joust arena, a wrecking ball arena,

and giant hungry, hungry hippo. There was

also a giant twister board and the crowd-

favorite, hypnotist.

Beccue also said the students were “loaded

up with pizza, sub sandwiches, buffalo wings,

nachos, fresh fruit, brownie sundaes, and a

coffee bar.”

In addition, many prizes are donated by

individuals and local businesses. According

to Beccue, “Prizes ranged from about a $20

value up all the way to smart televisions and a

dorm refrigerator. Everyone got at least one prize and a few got two prizes. We had almost 100 kids come and

only a few left before the end.” Beccue noted that in the past kids might have ended up with two or even three

prizes because so many had left early, but not this year. Almost everyone stayed until 5:00 a.m. “Which was

awesome!” said Beccue.

And about that rain that had been in the forecast the previous day, it never started until the kids left the school

early Sunday morning. Thanks to Mother Nature for making a beautiful weekend for the 2016 MPHS Prom and

for a beautiful Mother’s Day.
