The Illinois National Guard Band is based in Springfield under the direction of Sergeant
First Class Thomason. Bands include Ceremonial Band, 5 Star Brass Band, Jazz Combo,
Concert Band, and Marching Band. Members from all over Illinois gather once-a-month
for practice. Each one of these bands responds to 15 requests per year for performances
around the state of Illinois.
