Following an age-old tradition at the Abraham Lincoln National Railsplitting Festival, a re-
enactment of the christening of the city of Lincoln by Abraham Lincoln was the prelude
to the National Railsplitting Contest on Sunday afternoon.
This year the actors for the christening included Darius Knauer and LeRoy Buckheit,
co-founders of the festival. Also participating was Marvin Bartman, Joseph Dahmn and
Gary Simpkins.
Geoff Ladd of the Route 66 National Byways served as the narrator for the re-enactment.
