Stuffed Green Peppers

“A family favorite.”
8 medium green peppers
½ cup rice
½ teaspoon caraway seed
1 ½ pounds ground beef or pork
salt and pepper to taste
1 large onion
2 eggs, beaten
1 can tomato sauce
Wash and prepare green peppers by cutting off tops and taking
out seeds; set aside. Add caraway seed to rice and cook
according to package directions. Add meat, onions, eggs, salt
and pepper to cooked rice. Fill peppers with mixture and set
each upright in baking dish. Bake 2 hours in 350 degree oven.
Pour tomato sauce over green peppers at the end of first hour
and continue baking.
