Bourbon BBQ Sauce
1/4 cup vegetable oil (canola is good)
¼ cup butter
1 medium onion
1 cup bourbon
1 chopped chili pepper
½ cup lemon juice
½ cup apple cider vinegar
½ cup ketchup
1/3 cup dark molasses
2 -3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
Heat butter and oil in sauce pan over medium-high heat; add
onion and cook slightly. Add all other ingredients and simmer
until ready to use. Or turn on low heat to keep warm for later
use as glaze or dipping sauce.
