Breakfast Casserole

“We love breakfast casseroles on weekends, this is a good one.”
I can crescent rolls
1 pound sausage
1 (12 oz.) package shredded Monterey-Jack cheese
8 eggs
˝ cup milk
1 small onion
2 teaspoons pepper
1 (3 oz.) package real bacon bits
Flatten crescent rolls on bottom of 9 x 11 inch baking dish; set
aside. Brown sausage, drain. Sprinkle sausage pieces over
crescent layer. Sprinkle with ˝ of cheese. In bowl, combine
eggs, milk, onion, pepper and bacon bits. Pour mixture over top
of ingredients already in baking dish. Bake in 350 degree oven
for about 50 minutes. Top with second half of cheese and bake 10
more minutes. Serve hot.
