Amaretto Slush

1 cup sugar
4 ½ cups water, boiling
1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed and undiluted
1 cup Amaretto
lemon-lime carbonated beverage, chilled
maraschino cherries (optional)]
Boil water in saucepan; add sugar and stir until dissolved.
Combine sugar mixture, lemonade and Amaretto; stir well and
freeze mixture overnight in a container. Break frozen mixture
into chunks. Scoop into glasses, filling each ½ full. Add
carbonated beverage; stir until slushy. Top each with a cherry,
if desired.
