The Great Gatsby Grand March

n Saturday evening, after participating as one of the hosts for
the Lincoln Community High School Red Carpet pre-prom event,
Joe Ryan switched gears and became the announcer for the Prom
Grand March.
A large crowd gathered in the street on the north side of the Logan
County Courthouse, anxious to see their prom-goers descend the
steps and walk the length of the wide walkway leading to Broadway
Street.
This year the prom had a Roaring 20’s theme of “The Great Gatsby.”
The prom colors were black, gold, and pearl. Many of the young
women augmented their evening attire with sequined headbands
and feathery flowers in the hair. Some went all the way, choosing
gowns that would have fit into that 1920’s era, and even carrying
vintage handbags.
Music for the Grand March was provided by Holly Payne-Moore DJ
Service and consisted of selections reflecting the theme.
