Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021 published daily from 8am Lincoln, Illinois On Friday evening Seth Goodman with assistance from Lincoln Mayor Tracy Welch, prepared to snip the ribbon on the Balloons Over 66 weekend. Goodman was joined in behind the ribbon by more than 30 pilots of hot air balloons that will grace our skies in Logan County. Also looking in was Tina Simpson of the Comfort Inn Motel in Lincoln, where all the pilots are staying. After the cut pilots and crews headed out to their designated lift-off points. At the Campus View address, the pond on the property of Kevin and Peggy Bateman made for a beautiful photo op. Photos by Nila Smith
