Page 2 2026 LOGAN COUNTY PROM LINCOLN DAILY NEWS May 2026 Hartem prom goers begin their Enchanted Evening at the Prom Grand March On Saturday evening, 22 Hartsburg-Emden High School juniors and seniors participated in the annual Prom Grand March at the Hartem High School. This year, the prom, hosted by the Hartem Class of 2027 was themed “An Enchanting Night.” The prom grand march began at 5:30 p.m. After attendees were introduced, there was time allotted for mingling with guests and taking photos in the gymnasium before the group was expected to gather at the Hartsburg community building, where they would begin their enchanted evening. All the attendees gathered on the Hartem stage. As they were introduced they descended the stars with assistance from attendants Kamden Pointer and Andrew Zimmerman. Then each pair made their graceful journey under three lovely arches. At the end of the third arch, the pairs paused briefly for photos and to be applauded by guests. The bleachers were filled with proud parents, grandparents, and other relatives and friends there to see their favorite young person decked out to the nines in anticipation of a wonderful evening. As attendees were introduced, four young people left their prom partners to return to the stage. Then they were introduced for a second time as the 2026 Hartem Prom royalty. The 2026 prom Prince was junior Cooper McAffee with his princess being junior Cambelle Hopkins. When they reached the third arch, the two received their sashes and crowns by prom attendants Lydia Doolin and Ava Eeten. The 2026 king was Peyton Swinford with his queen Ellie Klokkenga. Pulaski Prom Goes from the Courthouse Steps to “Under the Sea” On Saturday, approximately 70 students participated in the prom grand march. Friends and family gathered outside on the courthouse lawn to watch their loved ones walk down the courthouse steps. It was a cool evening, with a slight breeze, as the sun began to set over the courthouse. After all the prom goers exited the courthouse, they announced members of the prom court. Prom court members were Meridith Nixon, Franklin Wade, Alyson Murphy, Jaeden Jackson, Brooke St. James, Eric Cooper, Addison Maus, Aaron Kuznik, and Elayna Marten. Prom King and Queen were announced later in the evening. Alyson Murphy was crowned as Queen, and Eric Cooper as King. Then, they greeted their family and friends and took pictures around the courthouse, on the square, and on the gazebo by the courthouse. Some students took pictures in their convertibles. After the Grand March, attendees headed to Prom at the American Legion Hall, where the theme was “Under the Sea”. Prom lasted until 10:00p.m., and then students were welcomed at the high school for post-prom, where there was an array of gift baskets and prizes.
