Family and friends packed the bleachers and aisles of the sheep barn to support their 4-Hers. Junior Miss Falyn Farmer and Little Miss Finley Farmer were on hand to help present award ribbons. The sheep show highlights both breeding and market classes as well as special classes like the Sheep Scramble Class. The breeding sheep division is judged based on structural correctness, breed standards, and fleece quality. Among the breeds featured this year were Dorper, Dorset, Hampshire, and Montadale. They are further broken down into age groups by ewe lamb, ewe 1 year and older, ram lamb, and pair of lambs. The market sheep are judged based on their meat traits and are split into lightweight, mediumweight, and heavyweight classes. As the 4-H exhibitors brought out their sheep, the judge examined each sheep thoroughly and provided feedback to each exhibitor on their sheep. Awards were given in the following categories: Supreme Overall Female: Raylon Schreiner Grand Champion Ewe Lamb: Emma Boerma Reserve Grand Champion Ewe Lamb: Raylon Schreiner Grand Champion Ram Lamb: Raylon Schreiner
