2026 Fall Farm Outlook Lincoln Daily News Oct 2026 Page 5 Navigating a “new normal” is very important to success in a business sense. As harvest progresses, don’t forget the support services that help make everything happen! Equipment dealers, fertilizer dealers, grain facilities, financial institutions, data services, and a host of others providing goods and services to the industry are invaluable. According to the Research Service of USDA, over 10% of jobs are agriculture, forestry, and food related. As fall continues, be vigilant on the roads with the continued farm equipment traffic. Much of the equipment is wider than lane widths and travels at greatly reduced speeds. The combination provides many potential situations requiring patience, alertness, and consideration. Farm traffic is doing all it can to move things along as well. Enjoy the fall months, with cooler weather coming there isn’t much better than the cool, crisp, and colorful fall. [John Fulton]
