Page 18 2024 LOGAN COUNTY PROM LINCOLN DAILY NEWS May 2024 Saturday evening was a good night for an outdoor event such as the Lincoln Community High School Prom Grand March. The sun shone brightly and the only slightly aggravation of the night might have been the wind that sometimes whipped hard against the immaculate hair styles of the young men and women in line for their turn on the red carpet. This year the event had a new coordinator, Lesleigh Bennett. Bennett, with no doubt some help from her husband Christopher and others presented a very well-organized event. Back for another year as the emcee of the event was Joe Ryan. Each attendee wore their personalities on their backs as the wardrobe for the evening was both stunning and indicative of the person wearing it. From the pale pink fairytale princess with a shimmering tiara to the jewel toned evening gowns with gents wearing matching vests, those dressed in classic black to those who chose to be a little more goth, each set of attendees who came down the red carpet made a stunning and beautiful impression on the crows. The word of the evening might have been “sunglasses.” Several of the prom goers came out decked to the nines in eyewear, making a lasting impression. Another big word of the night might “shoes.” The gents and ladies presented a wide variety of shoes and boots. From high top tennis shoes to western boots, combat boots with thick platforms to sandals and high heels, each person dressed according to what makes them happy. 2024 Lincoln Community High School Prom Grand March
