Page 82 2024 Animal Stories Lincoln Daily News February 2024 A resting place for pets and people By Matt Boutcher Humane Society of Logan County offers the Forever Home Cemetery Tucked away in the northeastern corner of Lincoln’s city limits lies a small but beautiful cemetery. It is right next to Old Route 66, and you may have seen it if you’ve passed by the Humane Society of Logan County (HSLC). This cemetery is called the Forever Home Cemetery and is a location where both people and their beloved pets can be interred together. When visiting the HSLC, one can visit this cemetery by walking to the back side of the building from the parking lot. Marilyn Wheat of the HSLC was kind enough to sit down with Lincoln Daily News to provide the Logan County community with some details on the cemetery. Continued --
