CLASS OF 2023 LINCOLN DAILY NEWS.COM MAY / JUNE 2023 Page 49 Lincolnland Technical Education Center “Ready for the Real World” Scholarship Recipient for 2023 Deagan Eads Deagan Eads, son of Keith & Brianna Eads, has been selected by Lincolnland Technical Education Center (LTEC) to be this year’s recipient of the “Ready for the Real World” Scholarship sponsored by the Rotary Club of Lincoln, IL. Deagan, a senior at Lincoln Community High School, has completed both LTEC curriculums in Automotive Technology and Advance Metal/Welding in the two years he has attended LTEC. Deagan has demonstrated high level of skill obtainment and a strong work ethic which will make him a true resource for any potential employer. According to Mr. Akers, his Advance Metals/Welding Instructor, Deagan is punctual, polite, and gets the job done. Deagan’s future plan is to attend MTI for their Welding Program and hope to eventually join the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Union. Recipient of the “Ready for the Real World” Scholarship receives $1,000 award from Rotary Club of Lincoln, IL which will be presented to Deagan on May 10th at the LCHS Senior night at the LCHS Main Gymnasium in Lincoln, IL.
