They are preparing meals, holding fundraisers, showing love and hope and saying prayers for the family to make it through this trial, coming out better and stronger for it. We say that same prayer with them. But it drove home a single point to make. Why do we choose to stay in our small town, small community schools? Because this kind of love and compassion does not always shine through in the larger schools where students are a name and parents are the ones who pay the bills. Indeed our schools are excellent, our teachers are dedicated, but it is love and compassion that shines through and makes local education one of the best choices any family can make for their child.
