Page 36 Excellence In Education Lincoln Daily News January 25, 2023 After Thanksgiving, students were given time in English class to draft, peer review, revise, edit, and publish their subjects’ biographies. They then created presentations in US History to share what they had learned with their classmates. Many of the students wanted to give copies of what they had written to their interview subjects. The school bought report covers and printed the biographies in color, since students were required to include photos. This made for a nice exchange; the interviewers got to learn more about life in the 20th Century and, for some, their family roots, and the interviewees got biographies to pass down. One junior, who interviewed his grandmother, commented, “I think the most rewarding part was giving it to her and letting her read it. I loved seeing her reaction to it.” MPHS is so proud of its students, their hard work, the respect they have shown for their elders, and the projects they have produced.
