Page 106 2023 Animal Stories Lincoln Daily News February 22. 2023 Sam Pet Parents Roger and Deniece Saylor Sam was our Golden Retriever Mix. We had him for 11 years. San was the best dog ever! He was always looming out the front window when we left and always there to welcome us when we got home. Sam loved doing tricks for treats with our family, but Sam just loved treats! He had the most annoying bark when he wanted a treat. We will forever miss those barks! Sam even slept between us every night! When Sam got sick last fall, we all tried to nurse him back to health. When all our efforts failed, we decided that it was time for Sam to suffer no more. Our hearts were shattered as well as our family’s. It felt like our child had passed. Sam left his footprints forever in our hearts! We miss you Sam!
