2022 Paint the Paper Pink
Page 44 2022 PAINT THE PAPER PINK Lincoln Daily News Oct/Nov 2022 Paint the Paper Today, Lincoln Daily News concludes the 2022 Pink Shirt Campaign for breast cancer awareness. The photo is of the office staff at LDN, including from the left graphic artist Devyn Fry, Nila Smith, Karen Hargis, and graphic artist Jeff Wyles. The sign held says, "Remembering...Celebrating...Fighting Back! Making a difference in Logan County," and in the background is a Pink Pumpkin tower that was a part of this year's very successful Pink Pumpkin Auction to raise money for the American Cancer Society. These two symbols speak loudly of what we stand for and what you have shown you too support through your photos for the paper and subsequent magazine, your generous bids at the auction, and your support of several other fundraisers held throughout the year. All we can say is that your generosity humbles us, and we love your heart because we know it is genuine. Thank you, Logan County, for all you have done to show your support for those in the battle and those who are still with us, having overcome the horrible disease. And let us pause to remember those we love who are no longer with us in person because of cancer. Breast cancer or otherwise, we know their suffering and their great relief when they pass from this world to the next. We are the ones who weep, for they are gone. But let us never forget them and be motivated by their courage. And, finally, let us be driven to do more to truly make a difference in Logan County in honor of those we've loved and lost. Thank you, Logan County. Pink
