Your continued support means the world to us, and we look forward to 2023, our best year yet! On behalf of the Logan County Tourism Board, I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Alice Roate Executive Director Joe Schaler, Central Illinois Veterans Commission A Blessing Three Times Over Whenever I speak about the ‘tiny homes project’, my “go” to comment is, how blessed we are. It’s not difficult to remember, because all our CIVC Board members truly feel blessed by our community. When we began the process of planning and fundraising for our veterans’ homes, little did we know of how much love and respect would be poured into this project. Donors from across America, volunteers from across central Illinois, have provided homes for three of our heroes so far. Hardly a day goes by, when I’m not asked, about when’s the next build date. Together, we may have added three new homeowners to our community, but in return, we have all experienced countless blessings and memories. Watching how we have all worked together, reminds me of a quote from Mother Theresa; “I cannot do what you do, you cannot do what I do, but together, we can do great things.” With a thankful heart, and best wishes to all for the Holiday season.
