While Johnson and Conrady are veterans of the competition, Gail Ubbenga, Christy Cross, Rose Harrold, Anna Catterson and Peggy Sanders are new faces. These contestants enjoy baking and the friendly competition though the heat and humidity made baking a challenge. In addition, the auction is a great way to raise funds for the 4-H programs. For many years, Mike Maske has been donating his services to the auction and always encourages bidders to go higher. As the grand total of $6,400 indicates, the donors love to support a great program and enjoy delicious cakes.
