When Remote Instruction is necessary, the 1:1 technology allows the district to continue educating their students. Google Meet allows teachers to still meet with students. Lessons can be delivered to students at the push of a button via Seesaw, Google Classroom and/or Google Sites. Teachers can offer students real-time support from a distance. In addition, 1:1 enables teachers to deliver more personalized content to students via web programs. District #27 has purchased web program subscriptions that support the change in instructional methods such as Screencastify, IXL, eSpark, SocialStudiesWeekly, GoGuardian, and TeacherEase. With these investments in equipment and software, District #27 hopes to create students that have the necessary skills for a successful future.
