Takes flight in a hot air balloon
On Thursday evening,
Lincoln Daily New’s
Angela Reiners took
to the skies in a hot
air balloon for the first
time. This year, instead
of worrying about high
winds, the balloonists
had to worry about the
lack of wind. After some
debate, the pilots decided
that they would not be
able to take off from the
front gate area of the
airport because they
might not be able to reach altitudes needed to travel away
from the airport. Therefore, the balloons were taken to the
far side of the airport and flew in toward the front gate area
at a very low altitude.
