4-H Cat Show
The 4-H Cat Show
took place early Tuesday
morning with veteran Shelly Miller as judge and
Suzanne Maxheimer as superintendent.
There were two classes this year, with the first
being Outdoor Cats followed by the Indoor Cats.
There were three entries in each category. It was
interesting to see that all the outdoor cats had
female handlers and the indoor cats had guys.
2012 Miss Logan County Fair Queen Danielle
Juilfs was present to hand out the awards. This
is the first time that a queen has ever been
present for this event.
Each 4-H’er had to chronicle the care of their
cat. The judge also checked eyes, ears, teeth,
coat and bone structure as well as
how they interacted with their handlers. All six
handlers did very well with their diaries and the
overall health of each of the cats shown.
Judge Shelly checks the ears of Katie Lynn’s
grey tabby named Bullseye.
