Art & Balloon Festival!
Major Fun for Everyone!!
T
he Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival kicked off Friday morning
with a ribbon cut at the Logan County Airport. This is the
24th year for the Balloon Festival, and the 39th year for the Art
Festival. Communities across the country have their own balloon
events, but the Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival has so many different
things going on, there will be something for everybody.
Just to list a few, there is a serious national Barbecue
competition, a craft and flea market, a wine tasting, a carnival,
bungee jumping, rock climbing, a used book sale, a fine art fair, live
entertainment, a farmers’ market, a family bike ride, kite flying and
kite-making demonstrations, and even more that I didn’t mention.
Whew! Most of the events are family oriented.
In addition to all of this, there is of course the balloons. In the
evenings there is a balloon glow. Balloons fly in the morning and
evenings if the weather is hospitable.
This is a fantastic event to bring your family, friends and
neighbors to. They will all have a good time and find plenty to eat.
So, come one, come all. We’ll have a grand old time!
