Mark and Mary McGee
T
his ranch home was built in 1969 and featured many “up to date”
features including an intercom system. The house was later renovated
to include details of Spanish architecture. The garage was converted
to a family room and a sun porch was added. In 1984, George and Charlotte
McGee purchased the home.
In 2009, Mark and Mary purchased the home and began a whole house
renovation. Walls were partially removed to create an open concept, and a new
sunroom and master bedroom were added. Presently the home
features a large kitchen hearth room with skylights, granite
counter tops and glass tile backsplash, a living room,
dining room, family/sunroom, three bedrooms, two baths
and a utility/butler’s pantry. The living room features
a custom coffered ceiling and Brazilian cherry floors
that flow through out the main living space.
You will find several decorated Christmas trees as
you move through out the home. Holiday decorations
include a Christmas village collection and a train,
both belonging to the couple’s daughter.
The home features three fireplaces,
each decorated with a different theme.
You will also notice several pieces of
antique furniture which have been in
the family. Watch for the collection of
antique clocks, invalid feeding pitchers
and hair receivers.
Among the many interesting
details inside this home was a
vast array of Crystal. The dining
room table was perfectly set with
beautiful dinner ware and an
collection of crystal goblets. In
the sun room an amazing crystal
reindeer and sleigh was the
highlight of the fireplace mantel
decorations.
