In addition, some of what has happened has caused divisiveness in our nation. With all that said, it is important that we try to be good neighbors showing care to those who live around us. But what exactly does that mean? The following provides some ideas for being a good neighbor. Get to know your neighbors. If you have just moved to the neighborhood, invite neighbors over for a housewarming party to get to know them. Tell them they do not need to bring gifts. Make connections with people in the neighborhood through hosting a block party, cookout or potluck meal. These casual get togethers can help people feel more connected to those who live around them. Provide new neighbors with a list of resources and contact information for housekeepers, lawn mowing services, repairmen and other needed services.
