A publication of Abraham Lincoln Heathcare Foundation

Dear friends and neighbors,
A single gift can touch many lives. At a time when you were remembering or honoring
important people in your life, you also thought of fellow community members seeking quality
local healthcare. On their behalf and ours, thank you.
2013 marked the 26th year that our community came together during the Christmas season
for Light Up A Life. What started as a outdoor ceremony on December 5, 1988 to honor the
Dr. Wayne J. Schall Hospice Program has evolved into this publication.
We thank Lincoln Daily News for once again helping you to remember, honor, and show
appreciation to 1689 individuals and groups.
You raised more than $32,000 this year to support a variety of local healthcare needs. Because
of your generosity
l
ALMH can offer the most modern medical equipment to provide the safest, best
possible healthcare experience for you and your friends and neighbors.
l
Logan Mason Rehab clients will grow from the rich experiences of local cultural events
l
Neighbors seeking a guided, medically safe weight loss program can find the support
they need at ALMH.
l
The best and brightest local students will receive financial assistance for schooling, and
then come back to serve their community as nurses, physical therapists and pharmacists
at ALMH.
l
Patients cared for by the Memorial Home Services Hospice team will receive the
physical, emotional and spiritual support they need to make the most of the final days
or weeks with their families and loved ones.
Thank you for giving of yourself this
holiday season, and brightening the
lives of those around you with
Light Up A Life.
Warmest wishes for a blessed
Christmas and a happy and
healthy New Year.
